Women of the Bible
Stand Up for What is Rightfully Yours- You Inheritance
Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. The daughters of Zelophehad And what did these women do, they speak right about what was rightfully theirs. In Numbers, we see that the land of the children of Israel is divided by lot, The Bible says, Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
Only problem, Zelophehad had no sons to inherit his lot. And the daughters knowing this, went to Moses and said, Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he have no son? Give to us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
And Moses brought their cause before the LORD. And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: you shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and you shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
You should never be afraid to plead your case for that which is lawfully yours, especially your inheritance. These daughters took their cause to Moses and Moses went before the Lord and the Lord said that they were right, their fathers lot should be given to them. Women in the Old Testament had a right to inherit
