Gadreel — The Watcher Associated With the Deception of Eve.  Gadreel is one of the more intriguing figures in the Watcher tradition preserved in 1 Enoch , particularly chapter 69. His connection with the Garden of Eden is especially important because the Enochic account associates him with the deception of Eve . However, we need to distinguish carefully between what Genesis says and what 1 Enoch later says . What 1 Enoch says about Gadreel In 1 Enoch 69:6 , Gadreel is identified as one of the rebellious angelic figures and is said to be the one who led Eve astray . The same passage also associates him with revealing instruments or methods connected with death and warfare to humanity. This makes Gadreel's role unusual.
