Genesis Chapter 1:24-25 - The Earth Brings Forth the Living Creatures
“And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” — Genesis 1:24–25 (KJV) Genesis 1:24–25 begins the sixth day of creation . The waters have already been filled with living creatures, and the open firmament has been filled with winged creatures. Now God's attention turns to the dry land. The earth that produced vegetation on the third day is now commanded to bring forth living creatures . Three broad groups are mentioned: cattle, creeping things, and beasts of the earth.
