Galatians 3:17 “What I am saying is this: The law, which came 430 years later, does not annul a covenant previously established by God, so as to make the promise void.” Introduction In Galatians chapter 3, the Apostle Paul explains the relationship between God’s promise to Abraham and the Law given through Moses . This is an important question because some believers were being led to think that obedience to the Law was the foundation of their acceptance before God. Paul directs their attention back to Abraham. God gave Abraham a promise before the Law was given. That promise rested not upon human achievement, but upon the faithfulness of God.
