 Genesis Chapter 9 is not merely history after the flood-it is the re-establishing of divine order after the judgment. This chapter can be understood as the renewal of covenant life, the cleansing of the earth, and the mystery of humanity beginning again under mercy. It is the beginning of new creation after waters of death. After the flood, the first thing God gives is blessing, not condemnation. This mirrors Genesis 1:28 when Adam was blessed.
