Jesus said:
“As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the coming of the Son of Man…
They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage… and did not know until the flood came.”
Genesis 6:11:
“The earth was filled with violence.”
The Hebrew word is ḥamas — oppression, cruelty, corruption, injustice.
The emphasis is moral collapse.
What Did Jesus Say?
Jesus does not directly mention Nephilim.
He says they were:
• Eating
• Drinking
• Marrying
• Giving in marriage
• Unawareness
So what is He emphasizing?
Normal life continuing while judgment approached.
The danger was not celebration itself.
The danger was spiritual blindness.
What is The Pattern Jesus is Pointing To
In Noah’s time:
• Life looked normal
• Culture continued
• People built, planted, married
• But underneath — corruption had reached saturation
Then judgment came suddenly. The people were not expecting it. Jesus says likewise, His return will
mirror that condition.
