First Corinthians 13 teaches that love must be the foundation of everything believers say and do. Spiritual gifts, great knowledge, strong faith, and generous sacrifices have no lasting value when love is absent. Godly love is patient, kind, humble, truthful, enduring, and unselfish. Gifts may cease and knowledge may fade, but love never fails.
