Exodus Chapter Six

A Charge to Keep I Have

In our next lesson, we will see that Moses and Aaron were given a charge to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt.  If I can title this I would title it, "Not my will, but thy will be done. " When your work becomes a challenge, You gave the people the word of God, and now when things get tough, that's when you will find out that the people don't want to hear what you got to say.  And when we find excuses as to why we can't continue the work,   That's when God gives you a charge. God doesn't want to hear your excuses, and he don't care if the people don't want to  listen to you.  You do what God commanded you to do.

Exodus 6:10 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

Exodus 6:11 Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.

Exodus 6:12 And Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened to me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

Exodus 6:13 And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a charge to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

Exodus 6:14 These be the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.

Exodus 6:15 And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.
