Gomer

So Hosea takes a wife as God instructed the prophet to do so.  He buys her for fifteen pieces of silver and for an homer of barley and an half homer of barley.  so after purchasing her, Hosea lays down the conditions of their relationship.

Does your relations have conditions? have you set the terms of your relationship to the one you are about to become espoused to?  They need to know the conditions of the relationship before they  make that commitment to each other,  this way, there are no surprises springing up later on in the marriage.

Here we see Hosea  is giving to the woman the conditions of their relationship one to another,  she shall not play the harlot, and she shall not be for another man.  This is how our relationship is to be with God. Paul said,

2Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

The leaders in the church is suppose to be espousing the church to one husband, they are not suppose to be causing the church to play the harlot with other gods, this makes God jealous

( De 5:9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,)

Don't get into a relationship with God if your not will to commit faithfully to him.  Hosea said to the woman, you shall not be for another man and so will I also be for you.  Don't think that God doesn't know when you have strayed away from him to go seek after other gods.  You shall not be for another man, so love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul and mind, Amen church....Amen, I love you in Jesus' name..........
