Let the Prophets Speak

The spirit of prophecy is subject to the prophets

Ac 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Ac 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

The Spirit of prophesy has been poured out upon all flesh sons, daughters, handmaidens, servants are prophesying and now Paul confronts the church about prophets speaking in order in the church.   Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14: 29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

As one prophet speaks, the others are to judge or discern.  What are they discerning? They are discerning what the prophet is speaking, if it is divinely inspired,  interprets scriptures or teaches the church.

1 Corinthians 14:30,  If any thing be revealed to another that sit by, let the first hold his peace.
1 Corinthians 14:31,  For you may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. What is the reason for having the prophets to speak in the church? That we all may learn and be comforted. They speak so that we may learn.

1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.  In the church, let the prophets that have a divine revelation, or teach, or interprets, be considerate of one another, preferring one another, and let the others be silent.

Hebrews chapter one, tells us that in these last days, God has spoken to us by his Son, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,  Have in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

God is speaking in these last days to us by his Son.  let us be silent and learn from him who is the heir of all things. The Father has appointed the Son king and Lord of all things both in heaven and in earth.  The Son possess all things, the Son owns everything and we are joint heirs with the Son. The Son is the only one that can teach us how to possess our possessions.  Let us be silent when he speaks and learn.
